Assist researchers and lab managers with writing, editing, formatting, and proofreading of
research articles, SOP’s, grant proposals, data, and related documents.
George Mason  University, Graduate Teaching Assistant, Dec. 2018 to May 2019
GTA for the multidisciplinary course Health Research in Agencies. Duties included being the primary point of contact for students,
grading of weekly assignments, accompanying students on field assignments, and conducting class discussions
College Park Academy (through UMD); Student Teacher, Sept. to Dec., 2014
Co-taught two classes of seventh graders in science, including developing lesson plans with
and assisting the instructor in class management. Developed and conducted a week-long science
experiment and report unit with both classes.
NIH Division of Veterinary Research, Pathology; Intern, Sept. to Dec. 2012
Training and experience performing necropsies (autopsies) of mice and rats. Observed necropsies for these
species as well as rabbits, pigs, sheep and primates. Participated in pathology and histology case study slide
conferences and research article summarizations.

Assistant teacher in Laboratory Animal Management course. Assisted with lecture
and taught lab portion of the class comprising lab animal handling and laboratory skills.
Tutored students in a semester-long research proposal writing assignment.

Wrote a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for a mouse sentinel program specific
to the Animal Research Wing. Trained two new employees; duties included
standard research animal husbandry (health checks, sexing, tagging
and genotyping, and medical treatments and breeding).
